Text messages

SMS terms

Global Scholar Press (a trading name of Nobtrex LLC, United States) sends text messages about the books you order from us — and only if you ask for them.

What we text

Program name: Global Scholar Press order notifications. These are transactional messages about your own account and orders: that your book is ready to download, that a revision you requested is ready, and similar updates about an order you placed. We never send marketing or promotional texts, and we never text anyone who did not opt in.

Example: “Global Scholar Press: your book ‘The Silk Road’ is ready. Download it: https://globalscholarpress.com/order.html?ref=GSP-123456 Reply STOP to opt out.”

Separately, when you create an account we text a one-time activation code to the mobile number you give us (you asked for it by signing up). That code message is not part of this program and is not repeated.

How you opt in

When you create your account — on the account page or on the order form — there is an unticked box next to the mobile-number field: “Text me order and delivery updates.” Ticking it is your consent to receive these texts at that number. It is optional: consent is not a condition of any purchase, and your order is delivered by email either way.

How often

Message frequency varies with your orders — typically one text when a book is delivered and one per revision, about 1–4 messages per order. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.

Stop or get help

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on the major US carriers.

Your privacy

Your mobile number is used only to run your account and send the messages described above. We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Messages are delivered through our SMS provider, Twilio, which processes the number only to deliver them. See the privacy policy and the terms of service.
